Re-imagining development
By establishing research partnerships that focus on in-country expertise, IDN is transforming the way the world thinks about the issues of global poverty.
Despite 60 years of international development efforts, global poverty remains one of the greatest challenges of the 21st century. Emory University’s Institute for Developing Nations (IDN) believes that academic research plays a critical role in finding lasting solutions to the problems of the developing world. By engaging Emory faculty and students in cross-disciplinary research partnerships, we seek to transform the way scholars, NGOs, policymakers and communities think about and do international development.
