Some observations from Liberia’s 2011 elections:
On October 11, Liberians took a major step toward continued peace in their country by conducting national elections for the first time since the end of that country's brutal civil war.  (The elections in 2005 were heavily supported by UNMIL.)  I was part of The Carter Center's election observation mission and witnessed Liberians casting their votes in one rural community...
