Pamela Scully, PhD
Pamela Scully is Associate Professor of Women's Studies and African Studies at Emory University. She is a member of IDN’s academic advisory board has been involved with IDN since its inception in 2006. In 2007, Dr. Scully participated in IDN’s Working Group on Gender-Based Violence and Rule of Law in Liberia. She also received funding from IDN to conduct a workshop in Liberia in March 2009 that looks at what transitional justice, happens to women when societies transform from periods of conflict to post-conflict and peace building.

Paul Zwier, JD
Paul Zwier is a Professor of Law at Emory’s Law School and a member of IDN’s academic advisory board. He became involved with IDN while participating in the Working Group on Gender-Based Violence and Rule of Law in Liberia in March of 2007. He returned to Liberia in October that same year as part of a “pathways to justice” project which evaluated access to justice for victims of gender-based violence. His research looked at how many cases make it through the legal system, where they drop out and whether cases are being decided by alternative dispute mechanisms.
